DL'S BIRTHDAY POEM FROM A YEAR AGO

They say there’s a man known by deeds
Some don’t comprehend, and attempt
To match. There’s no rule he heeds,
No code--only his are exempt.

Enigmatic yet true, he rides
O’er untamed and rugged ground;
On mountains and deserts he strides,
And towns where songs of him resound.

‘He’s a shadow!,’ they sing. ‘A ghost;
‘A phantom; a spirit; a myth.’
Others claim they knew him, and boast
fabricated tales forthwith.

In truth, his name doth lie unknown
to all man, woman, and child.
He lurks in land he claims to own
Solo, silent, great and wild:

He is Keiran! Keiran, he is,
forever, undisturbed, and free!
Unbeaten in all; all is his
in all the existence that be.
