The daylily is one of those flowers that seemed to elude identification for me until I was casually perusing a field guide one day and found out what they were.
And it's not that they're particularly hard to identify--they just happened to have been everywhere I looked, here and there, in my childhood, and growing spontaneously about in my dad's former garden, you know, and I never thought to seek out their specific name.
Therefore, here is a picture of myself with one to distract all of you from the wonderful post that I was supposed to have finished today; one knows what writer's block can do! Hopefully it'll be done tomorrow; maybe even later tonight if I can bind myself to a chair and complete it.
